N06600 Nickel base alloy composition because of its characteristics, for a variety of corrosive environments with high corrosion resistance. Because of containing Cr, corrosion resistance in oxidizing environments corrosion than pure nickel

This alloy is characterised by :
Good resistance to oxidation, carburisation and nitriding
Good resistance to stress corrosion cracking, at both room and elevated temperatures
Good resistance to dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride
Good mechanical properties at sub-zero, room and elevated temperatures

1 . Thermocouple sheathing in aggressive atmospheres
2 . Vinylchloride monomer production; resistance to chlorine, hydrogen chloride, oxidation and carburisation
3 . Conversion of uranium oxide to hexaﬂuoride; resistance to attack by hydrogen ﬂuoride
4 . Production and use of caustic alkalis, particularly in the presence of sulphur compounds
5 . Production of titanium dioxide by the chlorine route
6 . Production of organic and inorganic chlorinated and ﬂuorinated compounds; resistance to attack by chlorine and ﬂuorine
7 . Nuclear reactor components
