N10001 is a registered trademark name of Haynes International, Inc. The Hastelloy trademark is applied as the prefix name of a range of corrosion-resistant metal alloys under the material term "superalloys" or "high-performance alloys".
The predominant Hastelloy alloying ingredient is metal nickel. Other alloying ingredients are added to Hastelloy includin varying percentages of the elements molybdenum, chromium, cobalt, iron, copper, manganese, titanium, zirconium, aluminum, carbon, and tungsten.

N10001 alloy steel features :
1. The control of iron and chromium in the lowest levels, prevent beta phase Ni4Mo generated.
2. The excellent corrosion resistance of reductive environment.
3. Excellent resistance to corrosive medium concentration of sulfuric acid and many non oxidizing acid.
4. Good resistance to chloride ion reduction stress corrosion cracking (SCC).
5. Excellent resistance ability of various kinds of organic acid corrosion.
N10001 corrosion resistance :
Nickel molybdenum alloys N10001 of carbon and silicon content is extremely low, reduce the welding heat affected zone of carbon and other impurities phase precipitation, so its weld also have sufficient corrosion resistance. N10001 alloy steel in reducing medium has good corrosion resistance, such as a variety of temperature and concentration of hydrochloric acid solution.In moderate concentration of sulfuric acid solution (or contain a certain amount of chloride ions) also has the very good corrosion resistance.At the same time can also be used to acetic acid and phosphoric acid environment.Alloy material only in the appropriate state of metallographic and pure crystal structure can have the best corrosion resistance.
